On July 24 HRSF members can join a shared program with colleagues from around North America through our partnership in the North American HR Leadership Network (NAHRLN). Dr. Solange Charas, author of Humanizing Human Capital, will speak about and lead a discussion about how corporate investments in people drive business results. 

Drawing on her research and her background as a CHRO and Board member, Dr. Charas will discuss the leadership role of HR in assessing and communicating the impact that investment in people has on corporate financial results. In addition, she will provide insights on human capital disclosures now required by a variety of ESG governance structures. Dr. Charas will offer her perspectives, and the program will also include breakout discussions to enable idea sharing and networking with colleagues from other

Speaker

Dr. Charas is the Founder and CEO of HC Moneyball, and a Professor of Practice at Columbia University. She is a governance researcher and thought leader in the use of human capital analytics. She focuses on data analytics to quantify the material (financial) impact of human capital on corporate performance and understand the effectiveness of human capital programs in generating HCROI. She serves on the ISO TC-260 committee responsible for all human capital standards. She is also a board director at The Conference Board, Ezra Coaching, USC’s Compensation and Benefits Committee, and the WorldatWork Editorial board.

Dr. Charas focuses on data analytics to quantify the material (financial) impact of human capital on corporate performance and understand the effectiveness of human capital programs in generating HCROI. Dr. Charas earned her PhD in Management (focused on Board Governance) from Case Western Reserve University, an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, and a BA in International Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
