Hasina Anderson is the Partner | Vice President, Employee Benefits Consultant at USI who is passionate about helping employers understand and effectively manage their employee benefits program. Clients appreciate her attention to detail and thoughtful conversations how to leverage employee benefits to help enhance culture in the workplace starting from wellness, employee engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging as well as financial wellness. She was recently honored as one of California Broker Magazine’s 2024 Shine the Light Award recipients.
Hasina works with mid-size and large employer groups nationwide in the engineering, manufacturing, professional, healthcare and life bioscience industries. Hasina leads a team of highly experienced professionals that serve the needs of various clientele in the Employee Benefits realm. She has executive oversight of her accounts and is responsible for directing resources, leading strategic and financial planning and renewal negotiations. Her primary areas of expertise are in strategic planning, risk management, corporate wellness, employee engagement, marketing, HR technology, benefits, people and culture.
With a background in human resources, workers compensation managed care and allied healthcare for the past 15 years, Hasina is in a unique position to co-create with workplace thought leaders and approach employee benefits holistically as an extension of their HR, People and Finance team.
Hasina is a proud Track & Field Baylor University alumnus. She is also a licensed certified speech language pathologist who earned her master’s degree in communication science disorders from California State University, East Bay; Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation; and is a Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) from the National Association of Health Underwriters. Hasina was born and raised in Houston, TX as a first-generation immigrant child to Jamaican parents. She now resides in SF/Bay Area, CA with her husband, two children and boxer dog.
