David Yudis, Psy.D., MBA, MS Ed.
Dr. David Yudis is a relentless; solutions focused talent developer. His
optimistic vision for the future potentials in people has led to a career of
varied experiences in the field of possibility.
Dr. Yudis is currently director, Global Learning and Development for Disney
Consumer Products. In this role, he is responsible for the segment’s
learning and development initiatives across a global workforce. The
department’s current focus involves business driven programs in the areas of
immersion, invention, retail expertise and leadership effectiveness.
Leading a team of learning managers and professionals,
Dr. Yudis has delivered returns to the business through the implementation
of novel programs. This includes Licensing Immersion Training, which serves
as a foundation for new hire on boarding, employee enrichment offerings and
a curriculum for creative and executive education.
Previously, Dr. Yudis was director, Employee and
Organization Development for The Walt Disney Studios. In this role, he drove
performance improvement through employee focused training solutions for the
segment’s film, music and stage based businesses. He was also on point in
the segment’s implementation of enterprise-wide learning and performance
management systems.
During nearly eight years with The Walt Disney Company, Dr. Yudis has
consulted with executives across the business on varied people initiatives
including: talent management, culture change and career development. His
tenure began with the Consumer Products segment where he held several
positions with increasing responsibilities in the human resources
organizational development center of excellence. There, he launched the
segment’s first global culture survey, which has been used in successive
years to link employee engagement to business performance.
Prior to his Disney experience, Dr. Yudis was as a consultant in several
capacities. He was a management consultant for RHR International Company,
and based out of their Philadelphia Office. Focused in the retail,
technology and financial industries, he consulted to Fortune 500
organizations and specialized in executive assessment, development and
coaching as well as team enhancement. He has managed an independent
consulting practice specializing in creative development, worked as a human
resources generalist and been retained as an executive search consultant for
a top tier media focused boutique firm.
Dr. Yudis holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and MBA from Widener
University outside Philadelphia, as well as a Master of Science in Education
and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a licensed
psychologist. He holds memberships in the American Psychological
Association, Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists and
American Society of Training and Development.
His recent professional activities include facilitation of the strategic
planning for the Board of Directors at LA’s BEST, a mentoring organization
out of the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office. Dr. Yudis has also delivered keynote
presentations for the Human Resources Strategy Forum and Conference Board on
Innovation, Talent Management and Diversity. He has also been quoted in US
Business Review on what makes leaders great.
